CODY JONES
Cody Jones (known as “shriekingemu” on boardgamegeek) is one half of the “Game On! with Cody and John” podcast team, where he lobbies for more RPG coverage and beats John at any and all games. A lifelong Hoosier, he works as a graphic designer in the Indianapolis area where his other non-gaming hobbies include baseball (Go Reds!) and playing the euphonium in local community bands. He first got introduced to hobby gaming through games like Magic: the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons and later through Gen Con (where he also first met his future wife).
Cody leans heavily Ameritrash but can appreciate a good Eurogame if the time is right and the sedatives are working. His favorite board games include Fury of Dracula, Kingsburg, Heroscape, and games not ending in “-cassonne”.
JOHN RICHARD
John is a relative newcomer to the world of gaming. He grew up playing traditional card games with his family, which is probably where he first became a lover of games. In college, John discovered Magic: the Gathering, and it quickly became a mild obsession. In 2005 he attended his first Gen Con, and his life would never be the same! Now John is an active player of board games, card games, and roleplaying games. He even brings out the Magic cards every once in a while.
In August of 2008, along with his good friend Cody Jones (whom he met through a local Gen Con fan group), John started “Game On! with Cody and John”. He’s having a blast getting to know other great podcasters such as Tom Vasel, Stephen Conway, David Coleson, Don Dehm, and many others.
John lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife Rachel and two beautiful children, Ethan (age 6) and Erin (age 3). He works as a research scientist at a major pharmaceutical company, and is also the sound engineer at his church.
